SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2017: Applicants must satisfy the SSC CGL eligibility criteria before applying for SSC CGL exam. In case the candidate does not fulfil any of the eligibility criteria, commission will reject the candidate’s application therefore knowing the eligibility criteria is very important for candidates. An SSC CGL eligibility criterion is different for the different posts. The CGL eligibility criteria are the conditions which is set by the staff selection commission, candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions. SSC CGL eligibility criteria mention below:
Candidates need to fulfil the following educational qualifications in order to be able to fill the SSC CGL application form:
Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer:
a) Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute
b) Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters I Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.
Junior Statistical Officer:
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level:
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
All other Posts:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 1st August 2017.
For posts of Assistant Section Officer (CSS), Assistant Section Officer (MEA) and Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under M/o Corporate affairs, Assistant (GSI) in M/o Mines Computer Proficiency Test has also been prescribed as an Essential Qualification

Nationality Candidate must be either: Citizen of India, or Subject of Nepal, or Subject of Bhutan, or Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settle down in India, or Person of Indian origin who has migrated from, Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African Countries of Kenya, Zaire, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settle down in India. Note: Candidates belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be an individual in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
