RRB NTPC Selection Procedure 2017: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has made some sort of changes in the selection procedure of RRB NTPC from the year 2016. According to the new policy, there will be a second stage computer based test for candidates who have cleared the first stage examination. After getting the qualifying marks in second stage CBT, candidates will be further required to appear in the Typing Skill Test/Aptitude Test/ Document Verification.
So, basically RRB NTPC selection procedure consists of four stages which include:
First stage computer based test;
Second stage computer based test;
Typing Skill Test/Aptitude Test;
Document Verification;
RRB NTPC Selection Procedure 2017- In Brief
First and Second Stage Computer Based Test
Firstly, candidates have to appear in first stage Computer Based Test, which consist of questions from General Awareness, Reasoning, Arithmetic and General Intelligence. Candidates, who qualify in the first stage examination, will be further considered for appearing in second stage. The second stage exam will consist of questions from Arithmetic, General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning. There will be 120 questions in the second stage CBT and candidates will be given 90 minutes of time of solve those questions.
Aptitude Test/Skill Test
Candidates, whose names are included in the RRB NTPC merit list after completion of second stage examination, will be further invited for Aptitude Test/Skill Test.
Candidates who have appeared for CA, ECRC, Good Guard & TA, they do not need to appear for further rounds. Who have achieved good marks in the online test will be directly called for document verification session.
Selection Procedure for Junior Account Assistant, Sr. Clerk cum typist and Sr. Time Keeper
After getting qualified in the online written test, candidates will be called for appearing in Typing/Skill Test. Candidates’ typing speed should be minimum 30 words per min in English and 25 words per min in Hindi
Selection Procedure for ASM and Traffic Assistant
Candidates will have to qualify the common online test first and based on that they will be further eligible for appearing in the aptitude test. Weightage to CBT and Aptitude will be given in 70:30 ratio.
Medical Exam
After completion of document verification, candidates will be given appointment after medical test.
RRB NTPC Examination Pattern, 2017
RRB NTPC Examination Pattern, 2017: All the serious aspirants make their strategy for the preparation of the examination by studying the exam pattern and the syllabus of the examination. The syllabus of the exam and the pattern of the exam are the two pillars of the examination with which candidates should start their exam preparation if they want to ensure their success in the RRB NTPC Examination, 2017.

Details about the RRB NTPC Question Paper, 2017:
The question paper which will be conducted by railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will be a written question paper of objective nature.
There will be multiple options / answers for each question provided in the RRB NTPC Exam, 2017.
Appearing candidates will have to pick the one correct and most appropriate answer from the provided options and fill the appropriate oval in the OMR sheet.
The question paper will be divided in the four different sections of different subjects’ viz., Arithmetic Ability, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, General science.
Total number of the questions in the question paper will be 100 having total weightage of 100 marks.
The time duration to solve the question paper will be of 90 minutes.

Recruiters keep the provision of negative marking in the question papers just to make sure that only eligible candidates apply for the examination. RRB has also applied the provision of negative marking in the RRB NTPC Exam, 2017.
As per the provision of negative marking in the RRB NTPC Exam, 2017, candidates 1/3rd marks will be deducted as penalty for every wrong answer.
All the candidates are advised to be hundred percent certain about the answer of the questions before they make it their final answer.
RRB NTPC CBT (Computer-based Test), 2017
Candidates, who succeed in the RRB NTPC written examination, 2017 will have to appear for the Computer-based Test (CBT). In this test, candidates’ proficiency with computer and their familiarity with basic computer application will be judged.
Candidates applying for the posts of Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist (JAA), Senior Clerk cum Typist (SCT) and Time Keeper (TK) must have proficiency in Hindi and English Typing.
